Before You Install FlexiSPY on Android
I hope you have done your homework on FlexiSPY to familiarize yourself with the different products and features this spy app offers. Make sure you read my detailed review here for the latest information. If you haven’t bought your FlexiSPY copy yet you can find it here:
If it all seems like too much work FlexiSPY have an installation service available as an add-on at checkout. This service will also Root your Android as well as install FlexiSPY. See that article for details on how it works.
Before the installation process know this:
- You need to have the Android phone physically in your possession
- The phone must be unlocked
- You’ll need an internet connection (Wi-Fi is fine)
- The Android device may need to be Rooted (see below)
- Disable any antivirus apps during installation
Do I Need to Root Android to Install FlexiSPY?
No the FlexiSPY app can be installed and used without Rooting the Android device – but not all advanced features will be available.
Advanced features that require Root access include live call listening, recording features, advanced social media monitoring and remote updates.
For Rooted devices you can also be sure that the app remains totally hidden from the user.
To get the most from this app I do recommend Rooting the phone.
Next Up ….
- Allow Unknown Sources – this only applies to older versions of the Android operating system. It is a security feature that allows you to install apps from sources other than the Play Store.
- Simple go into Phone Settings > Security > Unknown Sources and swipe to select that box. Easy enough!
- Disable Play Protect – for the latest versions of Android this replaces the Unknown Sources protection.
- Here you go into the Google Play Store on your device. Tap the Menu icon and scroll down and tap Play Protect. Select Settings (top right) and disable Scan Device for Security Threats.
That’s you ready to continue.
Installing FlexiSPY for Android
Here are the basic steps for installation followed by a more detailed explanation:
- Choose you package and buy FlexiSPY
- Use email details to login to online dashboard
- Follow the Installation Wizard for Android
- Enter the download link in the target phone web browser
- Download the software
- Enter the activation code
- Choose to hide the app or not
- Login to the reporting dashboard
That is basically the process. Now for some more details to make sure you get it right.
Once you have made your choice of package – FlexiSPY Extreme or FlexiSPY Premium, you’ll receive a welcome email. In the email you will see your username and password and the URL web address for their online dashboard (portal).
Go online and use the details provided to login. A pop-up will welcome you and invite you to install FlexiSPY.
They have a great installation wizard to follow covering each step with clear instructions.
Here we are installing on an Android phone so select the icon and continue.
It will walk you through the steps I mentioned above to enable unknown sources etc. Just follow along.
Next the wizard will prompt you to install the software and provide you with a link. You enter this link into the web browser on the target phone – the one you want to monitor.
The link may change but will look something like http://fsde.biz
This will lead you to the download files and you will select Android in this case. The software will now download on the target phone.
It can take around five minutes to download and install FlexiSPY on Android depending on your internet speed. Once completed hit Open and it will ask you to activate your app.
Here you enter the activation code (license number). You’ll see this in your welcome email and in your online dashboard.
Next a screen will ask if you want to make the app visible. If you want the app to be hidden from the user (most people do!) select No.
That is your installation complete. Now you can go back to the online dashboard and login or refresh the page. You should see the details of the target phone.
After Installation on Android
When everything is installed and working it is a good idea to go into your phone settings and remove the downloaded file used for installing FlexiSPY. This helps hide a giveaway APK file.
In your online dashboard you will see all the reporting sections and you can change the settings from there. Select the features you want to use and reporting intervals.
Once the app is installed and activated you will not need any further access to the target phone. Full reporting can take up to 30 minutes to get started.
I like to test a few things out while I still have the phone in my possession just to make sure everything is working as expected.
That’s about it! I told you it was easy and to be fair FlexiSPY is one of the easiest spy apps to install on an Android phone. Works for Android tablets as well.
Don’t forget to look at my review as it covers everything you need to know about using the FlexiSPY app and when this program is the best to choose. I also have a FlexiSPY FAQ page answering the most common questions.
Good luck and thanks for reading.
